Training Schedule for Clergy and Congregational Leaders
National Leaders Workshops:
November 13 - 17, 2007 (Florida)
June 17 - 21, 2008 (Ohio)
The National Leaders Workshops is designed for local leaders from DART affiliated organizations interested in going beyond local training sessions to practice skills related to building a powerful, grassroots, multi-issued, congregation-based organization in their community. Veteran organizers lead training sessions on a diverse set of topics beginning with a Biblical basis for justice work, continuing by developing an understanding of, and skills in, such topics as one-to-ones, issue development, and fundraising; and, concluding with a role play of a direct action. For information on participating, contact Dr. Jana Adams (937) 222-5327 or your local organizer.
National Clergy Conference
January 30 - February 1, 2008
This three-day conference is designed to foster relationships among clergy throughout the DART Network, while providing a training ground for a prophetic ministry of justice. Keynote speakers in the past have included: Drs. Willard Ashley, Robert Linthicum, Johnny Ray Youngblood, Walter Wink, and others. Clergy interested in participating can learn more by contacting their local organizers.
